Sky over Luxembourg

Every dot is a real satellite, where it is right now. The orbits are computed here, on this phone, from public NORAD elements — nothing is fetched, nothing is sent.

How it works

Data

Two-line element sets from CelesTrak — the same public NORAD data every tracking app uses. They ride inside the page, so it works in a hall without Wi-Fi. They age: a week on, low orbits drift by kilometres, so the date is shown.

Nothing leaves

No server, no account, no request after the page is open. Positions, passes and the globe are computed by your browser. Install it and it works offline.

altitude compressed: low orbits sit just above the surface, the geostationary belt is drawn at a third of its real distance

This page has no server side. Once open, it makes no requests: every position, every pass and every frame of the globe is computed by your browser from data that shipped with the page.
